Hi Kartar,

Google is now charging by usage, with a new very expensive fee structure. For example, a single Place Search made by a user on this site brings us five compulsory charges from Google:

1. Places Details
2. Atmosphere data
3. Query Autocomplete - charged per each character entered
4. Contact Data
5. Text Search

Our estimated monthly bill from Google on current usage would run to several thousand euros. We are adapting by immediately suspending Place Search and limiting the daily map quota. The map quota should still be sufficient for most users. Daily quotas reset at midnight Pacific Time (PT).

Is this the beginning of the end of the free internet? The changes Google has made have been arbitrary and they need to respond to your question.
